After The Storm - Rainbow In The Desert

Finding beauty in unlikely places is very hopeful and beautiful. There is a scripture that states  " to those who grieve I will
 bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes,
the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise
    instead of a spirit of despair." (Isaiah 61:3)

The promise  that God will eventually give us beauty for the ashes of our dreams and hopes, which often burn to ashes in this life, is one of his most important covenants and gifts to us. It reveals the true nature and character of God. It reveals that God is love. This is so easily lost from our sight because the travail of our birth into enlightenment is so difficult and terrible. We need to be reminded that Gods true intent is to eventually give us joy, peace and understanding after the days of our mourning have passed. Every time I see a rainbow after a storm, I am reminded of this promise of beauty after tribulation.
