Dreaming Of You
Love sees with different eyes,
From which weakness does not have to hide.
If for you I would not a burden carry,
How would you know that to your soul I was married?
If you were not in need,
I could do you no good deed.
How would I ever fit myself into your heart?
The only place I want to stay and never depart.
Unless there was a crack for me to fill,
So let your heart be peaceful and still.
Weakness can be God's gift to us,
So lets not about it overly fuss.
There will be parts of us that will never fully mend,
But those are the spaces where we will our love send.
As long as we are humble and grateful for God's gifts, We will one another's hearts lift.
Only pride can destroy love's pure rose, Uprooting it from where it grows.
When we start thinking ourselves too great, To carry burdens for our beloveds sake.
When we no longer see weakness as a gift,
Then the devil will our hearts sift.
So let us protect love's delicate rose, That by this pool of water grows.
In the next world I know you will fly, Until then, let me help you get by.
For you do the same for me, This is true, don't you see.
