Love Will Guide Us Home
Life is a very unique and individual experience for each of us. There are certainly universal and common experiences but many of our fiercest battles are fought within ourselves, where no one sees our pain. It has been said of love, love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. (1 Corinthians 13) if we are to create a bridge into the inner sanctums of the heart, where the pain resides that no one sees, we must utilize the power of love. The humble sweet nature of love is the only tool we have to bind ourselves together and find our way home in times of darkness. It is the only boat that will carry us to the promised land, that state of oneness and unity that will ultimately become our true place of rest, our true home.
