Powerful Rhythms
This photo was taken at Sol Duc Falls in Olympic National Park. This photo was shot right in the middle of a pretty bad rainstorm. I had set the camera up on a sturdy tripod so I could slow down the shutter speed to get the very silky ethereal look to the water. As the rain came down it was literally pouring off the camera. This is the moment all the photographers out there can relate to when you are praying the weather sealing of the camera is going to work as advertised. I was wiping water droplets off the lens after every shot hoping I would get one good one. In the end the rain and mist made the whole shot so magical. The Pacific Northwest is so dynamic. The weather is constantly changing and you feel the rhythm and pulse of the earth so strong there.
