Till We Have Faces
Till We Have Faces is C.S. Lewis’ reworking of the myth of Cupid and Psyche.
It explores the concepts of love and truth and justice and the question of whether we can discern anything correctly until we remove our “veils.”
We cannot discern the intent of God until we see and understand ourselves and others as we truly are.
Until the day comes when we see with divine and eternal eyes we do not have understanding, we do not have faces.
We wait patiently in faith until that day when God turns our blindness into sight.
We trust he has a plan that transcends our understanding but is actively leading us on a path into the light of understanding where we will know the truth and finally have a face.
