What Dreams May Come

Something that is truly sacred and valuable is a childlike sense of wonder and curiosity. Life is so difficult and can be so terrible that it can crush our belief in hopeful possibilities. The engine that drives discovery and creativity is fueled by a hopeful sense of wonder and possibility. In life there are times you have to have a borderline delusional sense of optimism and possibility just to keep putting one foot in front of the other. This faith that all those who have made meaningful contributions possess, is tested deeply in the furnace of affliction that is this life. This painting is meant as a tribute to all those who have kept their child like innocence, wonder, curiosity, and kindness, despite the world being a dark place. The world is a better place because of them. The future, our true future, as a human family, belongs to those who love, and dream.
